Pipe Organ Concert: Westminster Presbyterian Church is hosting a pipe organ concert by Halden Toy at 6 p.m. Aug. 30 at the church, 2531 Hoyt Ave., Everett. There is no admission charge for the concert but an offering will be taken after the program to assist Toy with the expenses of his university studies in organ performance.
Gary Stroutsos: World-renowned flute master Gary Stroutsos, of Seattle, will perform “Remembering the Songs: The Enduring Legacy of the American Indian Flute” at 7 p.m. Sept. 3 at Rosehill Community Center in Mukilteo. Accompanying Stroutsos on traditional and world percussion instruments will be percussionist Fred Taylor, of Mukilteo. Admission is $20 at the door or in advance, and can be purchased at www.brownpapertickets.com. Students/Seniors (55 and over) are $15. Stroutsos’ music was showcased in the Ken Burns’ documentary “Lewis and Clark: Journey of the Corps of Discovery.”
Pacifica Chamber Orchestra: Season opening concert is 3 p.m. Sept. 27 at First Presbyterian, 2936 Rockefeller Ave., Everett. Fred Chu leads the Pacifica musicians in a concert of Telemann, Milhaud and Brahms. More information is at www.pacificachamberorchestra.org.
The River Winds Band: The ensemble has moved its rehearsal and performance location to Northwest Community Church, 11715 North Creek Parkway S., Bothell. The new season begins at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 8. Swingnuts Jazz: The local jazz group plays 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 28, at Angel of the Winds Casino, 3438 Stoluckquamish Lane, Arlington.
