Frank DeMiero, retired from teaching at Edmonds Community College, is nearly as busy as he’s always been.

DeMiero claims that someday he might actually truly retire. Until then he directs the Sno-King Community Chorale and the annual DeMiero Jazz Festival at the Edmonds Center for the Arts.

Recently, DeMiero announced plans for the 2015-2016 performance season.

Tickets are available at www.ec4arts.org, at www.sno-kingchorale.org or by calling 425-275-9595.

“We have an incredible chorale season planned for this year,” DeMiero said. “And we’re celebrating the jazz festival’s 40th anniversary this year.”

The community chorale’s “Holiday Magic: Bah Humbug! Scrooge” concert will be performed at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 12 at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N. Solos, ensembles and the full chorale are featured.

“Music Da Coro: A concert version of Phantom Of The Opera” is 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. March 19 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6215 196th St. SW, Lynnwood. The chorale, with full orchestra, will present “Massa della Mattrimonio,” composed DeMiero, and a concert version of “Phantom Of The Opera,” complete with soloists.

“Ticket To Broadway: A concert version of Carousel” is set for 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. June 4 at Edmonds Center. The concert version of the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical will include solos, ensembles and the full chorale.

The DeMiero Jazz Festival is March 10, 11 and 12 at the Edmonds Center.

“We are pulling out all the stops to present one of the most exciting festivals ever,” DeMiero said.

The festival’s guest artists will include Carmen Bradford, Dee Daniels, Charenee Wade, Josh Nelson, Dave Tull, Jay Leonhart, Greta Matassa, Bruce Forman and the Seattle Jazz Singers, which DeMiero also directs.
