Have a hankering for a Reuben sandwich, but don’t want all that mess?
Lay’s has the answer: Reuben-flavored potato chips. Don’t ask why Lay’s would make Reuben-flavored potato chips. Ask instead how they managed to make potato chips that honestly do taste like a Reuben sandwich (or at least like rye bread and a hint of sauerkraut, which amounts to the same thing). It may be a bizarre idea — it’s one of the flavors submitted by customers as part of a contest — but it turned out shockingly well. The chips are available at most grocery stores for $3.29.
