The Seahawks have to get from 90 to 75 roster players by Tuesday. Monday the team announced 14 moves to get Seattle within one. They were:

Reports suggest WR Kevin Norwood is being traded, which would constitute the final roster move.

The most notable name among those cut Monday is Jeanpierre. Pierre, who backed up Max Unger at center the past four seasons, was penciled in as the starting center at the beginning of training camp. However, former defensive lineman Drew Nowak moved into the starting lineup during Week 2 of the preseason, and it would seem Nowak won the job. The impending trade of Norwood, a fourth-round pick in last year’s draft out of Alabama, means former Washington Huskies wideouts Kevin Smith and Kasen Williams are still in the hunt for a roster spot or a place on the practice squad.

It didn’t take long before the Seahawks made that final move official, announcing that WR Kevin Norwood was traded to Carolina for an undisclosed conditional pick in the 2017 draft. So Seattle is now set for this week.
