Reports surfaced Tuesday morning suggesting former Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson is visiting Seattle, with a good chance of the sides agreeing to a deal.
Jackson, 34, is an eight-year NFL veteran, all with the Bills. He gained 5,646 yards during his time with in Buffalo, including 525 on 141 carries last season. He added 66 receptions for 501 yards last season. The Bills cut Jackson on Monday.
Jackson is also reportedly close friends with Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, dating back to when the pair were teammates in Buffalo from 2007-10.
Should the Seahawks sign Jackson, it would give Seattle a logjam at tailback. In order to make room on the roster for Jackson the Seahawks would probably have to part ways with either Robert Turbin or Christine Michael.
