1st Security bank opens Mill Creek branch

The new Mill Creek branch of 1st Security Bank and its manager, Melissa Harris, invite the community to come visit the bank. The new branch is located at the Park Place Center at the Mill Creek Town Center, 15224 Main St., Suite 105. 1st Security Bank was rated as The No. 1 Bank in Washington by Banker’s Caddy, an independent bank rating firm.

Arlington mayor earns ‘Municipal Leadership’ certificate

Arlington Mayor Barbara Tolbert was awarded a Certificate of Municipal Leadership from the Association of Washington Cities on Aug. 19. Tolbert completed more than 30 hours of training credits to earn this distinction. She is active in many organizations and has served on a number of boards and committees in the community.

South Everett Mukilteo Rotary raises money for Dawson’s Place

The South Everett Mukilteo Rotary Club’s 2015 auction raised $64,100 for Dawson’s Place Child Advocacy Center, a local Everett non-profit that aims to improve the lives of abused children. The South Everett-Mukilteo Rotary Club is a volunteer organization consisting of nearly 85 members who are community leaders, business owners and professionals who put service above self. Economic Alliance launches networking event

A new event series from Economic Alliance Snohomish County offers an open networking opportunity for business leaders in Snohomish County to mix and mingle. Called After 4 Networking, the inaugural meeting took place on Aug. 27 at Snohomish County Music Project. Snohomish County hote occupancy down, revenue up

Snohomish County hotels were down in occupancy for the month of July but up in average daily rate and revenue per available room, according to the Smith Travel Research. However, only King and Clark counties outperformed Snohomish County in occupancy. Revenue saw a 6.1 percent increase.
