Celebrate recovery
Recovery Reigns is a free event Sept. 12 at Camp Patterson at Silver Lake Beach Park.
People are invited to come to celebrate folks recovering from substance abuse and mental illness and to learn more about resources in the community
There will be free food, live music, games, door prizes guest speakers and information about drug and alcohol and mental health treatment.
The event will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The park is at 11405 Silver Lake Road, Everett.
5K for school foundation: Snohomish Education Foundation plans to hold its 2nd Annual 5K Fun Run/Walk and Street Fair fundraiser Saturday Sept. 12. All proceeds from this event will go towards supporting student success in the Snohomish School District.
Starting at the Snohomish Carnegie grounds at 105 Cedar Ave., the event kick-off starts with a Kids Dash at 8 a.m. followed by the 5K at 8:30 a.m. A street fair that will include booths, raffle, face painting and stations for coffee, pet refreshments, Book Café mobile library, first aide station, Aquatic Center station, games and prizes for all ages.
Families and people of all fitness levels are invited to participate along with baby strollers and well-behaved pets. Prizes awarded for best spirit colors to represent your school!
