Doc Martens store opens in Tulalip

A new Doc Martens store has opened up in the Seattle Premium Outlets located at 10600 Quil Ceda Blvd., Space 309, Tulalip. Free gifts were offered to customers during its grand opening week. Originally marketed as a comfortable work boot, the Doc Martens brand has been a fashion staple of youth and counter culture since the 1950s.

Qualstar, 1st Security named among ‘Healthiest Credit Unions’

Qualstar Credit Union, which has a branch in Everett, and 1st Security Bank of Mountlake Terrace were among those named to the 2015 edition of the Top 200 Healthiest Credit Unions in America by DepositAccounts.com. The company looked at several measures including deposit growth and capitalization to determine overall bank health.

Economic Alliance to hold Business After Hours event in Mountlake Terrace

The next Economic Alliance Snohomish County Business After Hours event is 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 16 at HomeStreet Bank, 22001 66th Ave. W, Mountlake Terrace. Reduce heat on water heater for safety, energy savings

The PUD reminds customers to set home water heaters no higher than 120 degrees. This temperature setting reduces the risk of accidental scalding, especially to children and the elderly. It also saves energy and helps reduce utility bills. In readiness for fall, customers are also advised to check furnace filters and change if needed.
