Campfires are now allowed outside of developed recreation sites in Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. Campfires are permitted unless otherwise posted.
The recent cooler weather and normal seasonal change have reduced fire danger in the area.
Forest visitors should make campfires in established pits, remove flammable material from around the pit, construct fires away from overhanging vegetation and keep the fires small.
Most important, campfires must be completely extinguished and cold to the touch before you leave a campsite.
