SNOHOMISH — City Manager Larry Bauman is getting a two percent raise this year.
The City Council on Tuesday decided to increase Bauman’s pay to $142,853 a year, effective immediately. Mayor Karen Guzak said his two percent raise is the same increase the rest of city staff received for a cost of living adjustment. In addition to his salary, Bauman receives $500 a month for car expenses.
Guzak said the council did not make any suggestions for ways he could improve his job performance during his annual evaluation. Bauman has held the post since 2002.
“He had a stellar evaluation,” Guzak said. “The council is extremely pleased with his service.”
In 2014, Bauman received a 3 percent pay bump based on his performance in 2013.
That was a tough year at Snohomish City Hall after a dispute between city officials and homeowners who had been billed for development fees incurred before they moved in generated headlines. The council eventually sided with the homeowners.
In 2013, Bauman got a 7.5 percent raise. His pay increased 2 percent the previous year. He did not get a raise from 2009 until 2012.
