Word from the coach: “We’ve had a great offseason. Hopefully that will pay off in the regular season. Like always, the most important ingredient will be if our team comes together and is able to put the team first. We have enough talent to have a fun and successful year. Word from the coach: “I love this group of young men. They seem to have developed a quick chemistry and are very aggressive, which fits what we want to be as a team. There is a lot of competition. It’s a deep group with several positions battling it out in fall camp. Like a lot of teams, if we work hard all year, focus on the little things, stay healthy and get a few fortunate bounces, then we could be playing in mid- to late November, which is all you can ask for in high school football.”

Word from the coach: “Meadowdale has had a long string of success that dates back through two different coaches. We have kind of developed a winning attitude. Our kids feel like even though we graduated a lot of starters and a lot of talent over the last couple of years that we’re still Meadowdale and we’re still going to be tough. We still feel like we’re the team that people have to go through in the (Wesco) South. That’s our attitude and that’s how we’ve approached it — that we kind of have something to prove to people that think that we’re down this year.”

Word from the coach: “My staff and I are excited and anticipate having a solid 2015 season. We really like our group of kids. They are good people, great students and hard-working football players. Having graduated 22 seniors from 2014, you will see many new names and faces suited up on Friday nights, but we feel real good about our potential with this group. Overall, the program is strong. Shorecrest Scots

Last season: 0-6 league, 0-8 overall; lost 42-7 to Lynden in the Class 2A District 1 playoffs

Head coach: Brandon Christensen (sixth season)

Key returners: Will Brennan, sr., RB/LB; Isaiah Banks, sr., OL/LB; Diego Fountain, sr., OL/DL; Jake Smotherman, jr., LB.

Word from the coach: “After a rough 2014, we will look to continue to improve and battle as the only 2A school in Wesco 3A. We will be a senior-heavy team with a majority of our returners having played full time last year as juniors and sophomores. The strength of the team will be the defense that returns 10 of 11 starters from last year’s squad. After a shaky carousel of quarterbacks last season, junior Jack Koss will bring stability to that position. Also returning to the offense will be senior running back Will Brennan, whose season was cut short last year with a shoulder separation.”
