Youngershoot: Take the kids to Bumbershoot

Rock out.

Dance out.

Get grossed out.

It’s Youngershoot at Bumpershoot.

Youngershoot Kids’ Zone is for ages 10 and younger (and their parents) during Bumpershoot, three days of art, music, comedy, dance, film and more.

Youngershoot is curated by Seattle Children’s Museum and presented by Parent Map.

The kids zone is open 1:30 to 6 p.m. daily, Sept. 5, 6 and 7.

Hands-on activities, daily:

School of Rock’s Little Wing program has percussion, rhythm and rock &roll instruments to play as well as button-making and coloring activities.

Pacific Science Center will have hands-on science exhibits from Science on Wheels “Blood and Guts” Outreach Education Program. Current exhibit “Grossology” focuses on health, wellness and the human body.

Would you want to give something as elaborate as this a name as mundane as “bread box”? A French Provincial piece practically demands the French name panetiere.

This elaborately carved French antique may be old, but it’s still capable of keeping its leavened contents perfectly fresh.
