Schack Art Center: 2921 Hoyt Ave., Everett; 425-259-5050; www.schack.org. The current exhibit at the Schack,“Vibrant Matter,” features the Schack’s 2015 Artists of the Year, photographer James Arrabito and sculptor Verena Schwippert. Arrabito and Schwippert plan to be at the Schack to talk about their works from 12:30 to 4 p.m. each Sunday through Sept. 13. The show ends Sept. 19. The Schack invites the public to watch Italian glass artist Lino Tagliapietra work in the glassblowing studio from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 8 through 11. This year’s Schacktoberfest is Sept. 24 through 27. Make or buy a glass pumpkin. Details are on the website.

Art in the Park: Arlington Arts Council presents its annual event 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 12 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 13 in Legion Park, Olympic Avenue, downtown. See fine arts and crafts, youth art and live entertainment. More at www.arlingtonartscouncil.net.

Edmonds Art Studio Tour: This self-guided, free, 10th annual tour is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 19 and 20. More than 40 artists at 25 studios throughout Edmonds are participating. For more information, go to www.edmondsartstudiotour.com.

“Around the World” Art in the Park: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 19 at Lowell Riverfront Park, Everett. Individuals of all ages and abilities are invited to create and experience a free fun-filled day with arts and crafts from Africa, France, the Orient, Mexico and the Pacific Northwest. A scavenger hunt, face painting, pinata, local entertainment, food vendors and featured artists are involved. Sponsored by All Aboard, a nonprofit located in Everett, the event benefits the organization’s scholarship fund.

“Arts of the Terrace”: The 37th annual Arts of the Terrace free art show is set for Sept. 26 through Oct. 11 at the Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300 58th Ave. W. Sponsored by the Mountlake Terrace Arts Commission and the Friends of the Arts, the exhibit is one of the major juried art shows held in the region.

Seattle Art Museum: Go to www.seattleartmuseum.org. SAM’s special exhibition “Disguise: Masks and Global African Art: closes Sept. 7. The exhibition provides an updated look at 21st-century evolutions of the mask and explores contemporary forms of disguise. Samuel F.B. Morse’s monumental 6-by-9-foot Gallery of the Louvre masterwork will be on view at the museum Sept. 16 through Jan. 10 as part of the exhibition Gallery of the Louvre and the Art of Invention organized by the Terra Foundation for American Art.

Camano Island Library: The Camano Island Library Friends group is seeking proposals for an indoor work of art. Needed is a two-dimensional piece that will be mounted in the library’s reading room. Mountlake Terrace Arts Advisory Commission: Seeking paintings, prints, drawings, miniatures, calligraphy, photographs, 3-D and artisans’ works for its 37th annual Juried Art Show. Over $4,000 in prize money is available. Arts of the Terrace is Sept. 26 through Oct. 10. Deadline is Sept. 5.
