I am a Herald daily subscriber for 22 years. If my family will agree, I will cancel my subscription and we will get our news elsewhere from a more conscientious source. It is with utmost dismay and disdain that I read the “Final text from Fryberg.” I have three teenage daughters, two that attend Arlington High School and one that is best friends with a girl that sat one table over from the shooter in the lunchroom on the day of the MPHS shooting. This MP child is just starting to have a scab over her wounds from the shooting and my child has similar scabs having walked the friendship journey with this grieving friend the past year. You have just ripped the scabs off and a fresh bleed has begun. It’s one thing to publish details of the findings and quite another to publish the entire “last” text! You should be ashamed. I am not a parent of MPHS, but I am horrified at the decision of staffers/editors to print this detail. Adults are not the only readers of your paper … there are children of all ages that also read. The newspaper should not be a horror story.
