It’s been in the making for a week now, but Monday the Seahawks officially announced the signing of running back Fred Jackson.
Jackson, an eight-year veteran who was released by the Buffalo Bills last week, will serve as Marshawn Lynch’s back-up this season. He replaces the combination of Robert Turbin and Christine Michael after Turbin was placed on injured reserve with a sprained ankle and Michael was traded to Dallas. Jackson is friends with Lynch dating back to their time as teammates with the Bills.
