EVERETT — Shoppers at the Everett Farmers Markets can donate to help people on food assistance buy more fresh fruits and vegetables.
Information about the donation program is available through Oct. 18 at the market manager’s booth on Fridays at the Everett Mall and on Sundays at the Port of Everett.
As little as a $1 donation can help a family increase the amount of food from the market, said market manager Karen Erickson.
For businesses or service groups that want to form a partnership with the market to help low-income shoppers, call Gary at 425-422-5656, or email karen.everettfarmersmarket@gmail.com.
