Everett-based Northwest Software celebrates 30 years in business
Northwest Software Technologies, an Everett-based leading developer of event fundraising management software for nonprofit organizations, has celebrated its 30th anniversary in business. So far the company’s software application suite and related services have helped to successfully manage thousands of fundraising events in five countries. The products have helped to raise over $3.5 billion dollars.
EdCC official gives presentation at Maine conference
Mel Cossette, executive director and principal investigator of the National Resource Center for Materials Technology Education at Edmonds Community College, was invited to present at the Gordon Research Conference in Lewiston, Maine, on June 24. There were 165 attendees from 36 states and 17 countries. Only three community colleges attended. Cossette’s presentation was the only one given by a community college.
Pur Skin Clinic recognized by Seattle magazine
Edmonds Pur Skin Clinic founder and provider Denice Schwind was one of the 459 medical providers named on the Seattle Met Magazine 2015 Top Doc list. She stood out as the Top Dermatology Physician Assistant among her peers. Schwind began her career in family practice and has specialized in medical and cosmetic dermatology since 2004.
Nonprofit receives funds to help Snohomish County entrepreneurs
Washington Ventures, a Seattle-based nonprofit that assists entrepreneurs who have limited resources, will receive $123,000 through the Small Business Administration’s Program for Investment in Micro-entrepreneurs. Ventures will use its award to provide training and technical assistance for low-income and very low-income entrepreneurs with household incomes at or below 80 percent of the HUD area median income in Snohomish and King counties.
