TULALIP — The seventh annual Taste of Tulalip is Nov. 13 and 14 at the Tulalip Resort Casino.
Tulalip officials said executive chef Perry Mascitti and sommelier Tommy Thompson spent the past year organizing a star-studded lineup of food, wine and traditional entertainment.
Seats for the Nov. 13 Celebration Dinner ($225) are available by calling 360-716-6888. Passes for the Nov. 14 events ($350 for an all-access pass and $110 for the Grand Taste event) can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com.
The Friday night Celebration Dinner will be prepared by the Tulalip Resort chefs from their favorite recipes, paired with top wines from around the globe.
All-access pass holders on Saturday have early entrance to the Grand Taste and the Rock-n-Roll Cooking Challenge, a wine seminar featuring some of Washington’s top wine producers, a seminar featuring Chris Cosentino’s cooking demonstration and a private party where guests will be treated to a selection of wine and food pairings.
The weekend’s highlight is always the Grand Taste, spanning four hours and featuring lavish food stations, more than 100 wines from Washington, Oregon, California, Oporto and Maderia, and selections of dessert wines and craft beer.
Grand Taste includes the cooking challenge. Seattle and Tulalip chefs and sommeliers will compete “Iron Chef” style with judges Cosentino, Thierry Rautureau, Chef T and Mauny Kaseberg looking for the best dish and wine pairing.
