Maybe Joe Albertson wants his supermarket back? Grocery chain Haggen has been permitted by a bankruptcy judge to borrow up to $215 million so it can continue to operate its 164 West Coast stores through Oct. 5. Haggen filed for bankruptcy after buying up 146 Albertsons and Safeway stores.
While the judge allowed Haggen to borrow the money, he warned the grocery chain not to stock any green bananas.

Channel-surfing the vast cultural wasteland: HBO airs a comedy special tonight, “Ferrell Takes the Field,” in which comedian Will Ferrell plays with several Major League Baseball teams, including the Seattle Mariners, during this year’s spring training.
Next season, Ferrell returns to the Mariners, this time as its general manager following the firing of M’s GM Jack Zduriencik to make “Ferrell Takes the Blame.”

Among the few who wanted a name change was an out-of-state vote for Mount Trump, but he said not to worry; he’d take care of it himself.
