SEATTLE — Police say bystanders helped catch a registered sex offender after he groped a woman at a Seattle bus stop.
KOMO-TV reported that Jonah Spangenthal-Lee of the Seattle police said the woman was waiting at the bus stop Thursday night when a man approached her from behind and groped her.
Police said witnesses heard the woman scream and yelled at the groper. The man tried to run away but several witnesses chased him, pinned him to the ground and called police.
The 29-year-old man has been booked into King County Jail while police investigate.
