Thanks to crew for quick pole fix

Just wanted to give a shout out to the SnoCo PUD crew that restored our power on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. Someone had managed to drive their car through a power pole at the corner 139th and Dubuque Road early Saturday morning. My understanding is that no one was injured, thank goodness for that! According to the PUD power outage hotline, about 50 homes were without power as a result, including ours. Being that this was not far from our home, I drove up to take a look. What a mess! A large power pole was broken in two places, laying on the street. There were downed wires everywhere, in a big tangled mess. The PUD crew removed the broken pole, installed a new one, attached a ton of hardware and fittings to it, restrung all the wires, and had our power restored by late afternoon.

After having seen what they had to deal with, I would’ve thought this project might take days. I’m impressed with how quickly the problem was addressed and resolved, and with the dedication of the crew, who no doubt would have rather been home barbecuing, or out camping, or otherwise doing something fun for the long weekend. Thank you, PUD crew, for your dedication to minimizing power disruptions to your customers. Keep up the good work!
