“Furious 7”

PG-13, 138 minutes, Universal

Vin Diesel and Co. return in the latest installment of the “Fast and Furious” auto/action franchise, which bids farewell to the late cast mainstay Paul Walker. Contains prolonged frenetic sequences of violence, action and mayhem, suggestive content and brief strong language. Extras include the featurettes “Back to the Starting Line,” “Race Wars,” “Snatch and Grab” and “Making of Fast &Furious Supercharged Ride.” Extended edition Blu-ray adds deleted scenes and more featurettes, including “The Cars of Furious.”

“Cinderella”

PG, 105 minutes, Disney

Kenneth Branagh directs this elaborate but traditional telling of the Cinderella story, starring Lily James, Cate Blanchett and Helena Bonham Carter. Contains mild thematic elements. Extras include “Frozen Fever” (short with the characters from “Frozen”) and “Ella’s Furry Friends.” Blu-ray adds “A Fairy Tale Comes to Life” behind-the-scenes featurette with cast and crew; “Costume Test Fun”; “Staging the Ball” and an alternate opening.

“Love &Mercy”

PG-13, 122 minutes, Lionsgate

Biopic about the Beach Boys’ troubled creative genius Brian Wilson, with two actors portraying him: Paul Dano in the ‘60s, at the peak of the Beach Boys’ fame, and John Cusack in the ‘80s, as Wilson reclaims his life after a mental breakdown. Contains thematic elements, drug use and some obscenity. Extras include “A California Story: Creating the Look of Love &Mercy” featurette, “A-Side/B-Side: Portraying the Life of Brian Wilson” featurette, deleted scenes, audio commentary with director-producer Bill Pohlad and executive producer/co-writer Oren Moverman.

Also: “All American High Revisted” (update of 1984 documentary about a California high school), “American Experience: Walt Disney” (PBS documentary on Disney’s life), “Blind Chance” (1981 drama by Polish filmmaker Krzysztof Kieslowski), “Care Bears: Mystery In Care-A-Lot” (Halloween-themed adventure), “Closer to the Moon” (heist film based on true events in 1959 Romania), “Heaven Knows What” (young heroin addict roams the streets of New York), “Lego Star Wars: The New Yoda Chronicles” (four episodes from Disney), “Little Glory” (19-year-old drop-out tries to raise his little sister after their father dies), “Monkey Kingdom” (animal story narrated by Tina Fey), “Nightingale” (drama about a man isolated by social media), “The Overnight” (things turn weird for a family when they make friends in a new city), “Pups United” (group of dogs has to prevent the Youth World Cup soccer finals from being sabotaged), “Reality” (satire about the entertainment industry), “Saban’s Power Rangers: Trickster Treat” (Halloween adventures with the Power Rangers), “The Seven Five” (documentary about a New York police corruption scandal).

Television series: “Aquarius: The Complete First Season” (four-disc DVD, three-disc Blu-ray with 13 episodes), “The Big Bang Theory: The Complete Eighth Season” (three-disc DVD and two-disc Blu-ray with 24 episodes), “The Carol Burnett Show: The Lost Episodes” (six-disc collector’s set ($59.95) features the best original broadcast episodes from the legendary variety show, hand-picked by Burnett herself), “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation – The Final Season” (five-disc set with 20 episodes), “CSI: Cyber – The First Season” (four-disc set with 13 episodes), “Empire: The Complete First Season” (four-disc DVD and three-disc Blu-ray with 12 episodes), “Lost in Space – The Complete Series” (Blu-ray debut), “NCIS: The Best of Abby” (three-disc set with 12 select episodes highlighting fan-favorite character Abby Sciuto, portrayed by Pauley Perrette), “NCIS: The 12th Season Blu-ray” (six-disc set with 23 episodes), “The Returned” (two-disc set with all 10 episodes, many of them in their uncensored versions not previously shown on TV), “Sisters: Seasons One and Two” (seven-disc set with all 29 episodes), “Sleepy Hollow: The Complete Second Season” (five-disc DVD and four-disc Blu-ray with 18 episodes).
