“Hotties for Hope” has 12 months of local women baring some flesh in the fight against breast cancer.
The models are seductively posed putting on lipstick, eating pie, grilling hot dogs, opening presents and doing those everyday simple things in life that make us so happy.
The women are on the Kindred Spirits team of about 300 members who walk or provide support at Susan G. Komen breast cancer events.
Most of the calendar pinups are not cancer survivors themselves. They walk for sisters, moms, aunts, grandmothers and cousins. One in eight women will be diagnosed with the disease.
In addition to the fun photos, the calendar includes facts and ways to detect cancer in the early stages.
Eve Clarke, a Marysville photographer and Kindred Spirits member, produced the calendar. Profits from sales of the $25 calendar go toward helping walkers meet their fundraising goals. Some are walking in Komen 3 Day events.
A fundraiser with karaoke, raffles and drink specials will be held at 9 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Buzz Inn, 1801 Main St., Lake Stevens.
Models will be on hand to autograph calendars and pose for photos.
