SEATTLE — A West Seattle man accused of causing $20,000 in damage to a Lamborghini after being told not to lay on the sports car now faces a felony charge.
Seattlepi.com reported Michael Clearwater has been charged with first-degree malicious mischief.
King County prosecutors say Clearwater, 40, smashed the Lamborghini GS’s windshield and dented its hood after an altercation with the car’s owner. The incident took place in downtown Seattle at the end of July.
Detectives said the owner pulled Clearwater from his car after the man had sprawled on top of it. After a shoving match, Clearwater climbed on top of the Lamborghini again, jumped on the hood and punched the windshield.
According to charging papers, Clearwater admitted to sitting on the car but denied damaging it.
