It’s rare when a professional athlete is willing to speak his or her mind on issues beyond the game. Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman showed Wednesday he’s one of the few willing to step onto the bigger stage and speak out about a social issue when he talked about the Black Lives Matter movement.
Sherman was clarifying that an internet post attributed to him was not actually authored by him, but he also used the occasion to state his thoughts on the subject.
