Airport Appreciation Day in Arlington
Free airplane rides for children, a Flying Gizmo Show, helicopter and plane displays and a fundraiser race are on the agenda for Arlington’s annual Airport Appreciation Day. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Arlington Municipal Airport, 18204 59th Drive NE.
Children between 8 and 17 years old can take free airplane rides and all visitors can see planes, helicopters and gliders up close.
A 5k/10k Rescue Run is planned to raise money for Snohomish County’s search &rescue helicopter. Airport Appreciation Day also includes face painting, a bouncy house and crafts for kids.
Everett Schools offer online survey: Parents and residents in the Everett School District are being asked to take part in an online survey about educational technology and the student access to it. Everett Public Schools is using is Thoughtexchange survey tool to solicit feedback.
The district used the tool earlier this year to gather information about overall satisfaction with the district. More than 4,000 people took part in the earlier survey.
