As a bus commuter from Ash Way Park and Ride to Seattle the past six years, I was thrilled to see The Herald’s front-page headline, “CT seeks faster bus commute on I-5.” I anxiously read to find out how Community Transit would increase the speed of my consistently unreliable commute.
I was extremely disappointed to read that CT will “seek (a) faster bus commute” only by changing its schedules to start earlier and arrive later to increase its on-time performance — and will spend $2 million doing it! Obviously, CT is deserving of an award for “government efficiency” at its finest. I can hardly wait to vote for its upcoming proposition to increase our taxes again to reward such a noteworthy accomplishment.
