Olivia Larson
Arlington | Senior
Larson has been named a first-team All-Wesco forward in each of the past two seasons. She finished with 14 goals and 12 assists last season as a junior, and had 14 goals and nine assists as a sophomore.
“There are so many things that make her so special,” Arlington head coach Nathan Davis said. “Olivia has an intense competitive spirit. She works hard and competes full speed all the time. It doesn’t matter if it’s practice or a district playoff game.”
Drew Locknane
Jackson | Senior
Locknane was a first-team All-Wesco selection as a junior forward last season and helped the Timberwolves reach the Class 4A state championship game. She scored 18 goals, eight of which proved to be game-winners, and had two assists during Jackson’s run to the title game.
“Drew is a hard player to defend,” Jackson head coach Jesslyn Kellerman said. “She reads the game well, is creative and unpredictable. She’s a selfless player who puts the team first and is more concerned with the outcome of the team than her own personal stats.”
Shannon Peth
Kamiak | Senior
Peth, who coach Beth Stewart said has been the anchor of the Kamiak defense the past three seasons, led the Knights last year with 10 shutouts and was a key part of an 11-game winning streak that helped them challenge for a Wesco 4A regular-season championship.
“She may not be the tallest in goal,” Stewart said of the 5-foot-7 Peth, “but you would never know it as she has an ability to cover the entire goal and make some amazing acrobatic saves.”
Espy Sanchez
Stanwood | Sophomore
Sanchez, a forward, led the Spartans in scoring as a freshman and had goals in all but a few games. Her efforts earned her All-Wesco 3A North first-team honors.
“Espy is a stalwart, relentless in her work-ethic and desire to better her game,” Stanwood head coach Lori Stunz said. “There is never a moment when Espy isn’t focused. She is willing to push herself out of her comfort zone. She plays on the edge.”
Talia Daigle
Archbishop Murphy | Junior
Daigle was a first-team All-Cascade Conference forward last season as a sophomore. She scored eight goals and had 12 assists for the Wildcats, who came up one victory short of advancing to the 2A state tournament.
Archbishop Murphy head coach Michael Bartley said he expects even more of the junior this season.
“Talia is a very dynamic player,” Bartley said. “She is a combination of speed and power with a great touch. She can score from distance or get behind defenses on the dribble.”
