FOREST GROVE, Ore. — A small helicopter crashed on a berry farm west of Portland, injuring the pilot.
Forest Grove Fire Marshal Dave Nemeyer tells The Oregonian that farm workers took the pilot to the hospital before emergency crews arrived. He says a local business owns the helicopter and the owner’s daughter was the pilot.
The pilot managed to get out of the crashed helicopter on her own. Nemeyer says she walked at least the length of a football field and called for help.
