Jeff Obermeyer

7 p.m. Sept. 22, Third Place Books

Obermeyer will talk about his book “Seattle Totems.” Before major-league professional sports came to the Northwest, Seattle had a rich minor-league sports history. In the winter, Saturday afternoons were for college football, but the nights were for hockey. From the late 1950s through the mid-1970s, hockey could only mean one thing — the Seattle Totems. Led by Guyle Fielder, the Totems won three Western Hockey League championships. The book store is located at 17171 Bothell Way NE, Lake Forest Park.

Bruce Meyers

7 p.m. Sept. 23, Third Place

The theater, 1211 Fourth St., Snohomish, will host the book release for Noah’s new story-song-picture book “Country Store.” Cost is $10 and includes the party, apple pie and a live show that doubles as the world premier of the new book.
