WOODINVILLE — Three men were injured Sunday morning when a pipe bomb exploded in a shed in south Snohomish County.
The men were working on the bomb at the time, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said. The explosion was reported at 5:15 a.m. along 106th Drive SE, in an unincorporated area of Snohomish County near Woodinville.
One man, 34, lost a hand in the explosion. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He also had a warrant for his arrest from the Department of Corrections. Two other men, 42 and 52, suffered leg injuries. At least one of them was hospitalized.
The sheriff’s bomb unit is investigating, Ireton said Monday. No other information was available.
