ARLINGTON — Five young people are being sought for a tire-slashing spree that caused more than $10,000 in damage in Arlington.
Vehicle owners began calling 911 around midnight Sunday to report the damage. The vandals slashed tires on at least 10 different vehicles, city spokeswoman Kristin Banfield said.
The damaged cars and trucks were parked between the 200 block of N. Macleod Avenue and the 700 block of E. Fifth Street, near Terrace Park.
A police dog searched the area but wasn’t able to find the vandals.
Video surveillance captured the suspects in action. They are white and appear to be between the ages of 16 and 20. Two were wearing white T-shirts while the others were wearing dark-colored shirts.
Police suspect that they live in the area.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Arlington Police Department’s tipline at 360-403-3420.
