OLYMPIA — A Thurston County man has been sentenced to five years in prison for having sex with a teenage runaway.
The Olympian reported that Timothy Harrison, 25, received the maximum sentence at his hearing Monday. He had previously pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree rape of a child. A charge of commercial sexual abuse of a minor was dropped as part of a plea deal.
Prosecutors say Harrison, a transient, was having a 15-year-old girl solicit men in Tumwater. The victim says he may have impregnated her.
He was arrested in November after law enforcement received a tip about two juvenile females who were at risk of being sexually trafficked.
A co-defendant in the case, 19-year-old Stephen Johantgen was sentenced to 24 months of probation for a lesser charge.
