It’s finally over!
After 55 days Kam Chancellor’s holdout from the Seahawks is done. The team confirmed Wednesday morning the Pro Bowl strong safety has returned to the team.
It would seem there’s no change to Chancellor’s contract, so Chancellor is the one who budged in the battle of wills.
It’s being reported the Seahawks will have a two-week roster waiver for Chancellor, so Chancellor will be able to join practices immediately without Seattle having to cut anyone from the 53-man roster. Someone would have to make way should the Seahawks choose to activate Chancellor for Sunday’s home opener against Chicago.
Here’s how it all played out this morning:

The full text:
“Ima go help my teammates that are understanding of my position and the ones who aren’t. God forgives all, why can’t i? Time to help us get back to the big dance . I can address business after the season. Me and Marshawn started a mission 2 years ago. I can’t let my Dawg down….Real talk.”

Can confirm Kam Chancellor’s already reported to #Seahawks. Team has 2-week roster exemption for him. Can activate anytime, with roster move

And from Chancellor’s agent:
Glad to see Kam back at work. The business side of the sport sucks at times. Some will understand it most won’t! #GoHawks

We’ll see what everyone has to say at practice today, provided I don’t run into China president Xi Jinping on the freeway on the way to Renton.
