KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — Klamath County commissioners have voted against allowing medical and recreational marijuana dispensaries in the county.
The Herald and News reports the board unanimously voted in favor of a ban on dispensaries at a hearing Tuesday, extending the ban until May 2016.
Oregon voters in November 2014 passed Measure 91, which legalized recreational marijuana. But in Klamath County, a majority of voters opposed Measure 91, allowing the commissioners to ban marijuana sales. Marijuana use remains legal.
