EVERETT — An Everett man was arrested Wednesday night in connection with gunfire in the north end of town.
The man, 29, reportedly was drunk and driving around the city with his stepson, shooting a gun out the window. He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of DUI and drive-by shooting. No injuries were reported.
Police were alerted by 911 calls that started about 7:30 p.m. Reports of gunfire came from the 1500 block of Lombard Avenue, plus the 1800 and 1900 blocks of Baker Avenue, according to the arrest report.
An Everett officer found the man’s Chrysler minivan parked on Virginia Avenue. He and his stepson, a minor, were getting out of the car. The man had one gun in his pants pocket and another under his pants leg. A bottle of vodka and two 24-ounce beer cans were found near the driver’s seat.
The man reportedly told officers he had been drinking vodka and beer since noon.
