MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — The 37th annual Arts of the Terrace juried show has attracted work from artists who live as far away as Arkansas.
The show, in which artists compete for more than $4,000 in cash awards, is up Sept. 26 through Oct. 11 at the Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300 58th Ave. W.
Sponsored by the Mountlake Terrace Arts Commission and the Friends of the Arts, the show primarily involves artists from throughout the region. In 2014, 180 artists submitted 370 entries.
This year’s jurors include painter DeAnne Lemley, photographer Mark Bergsma and Lin McJunkin sculpture and other 3-D work. A patrons’ preview and artists’ awards ceremony is Sept. 25, at the library and the show opens to the public Sept. 26. The show is free and open noon to 6 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, noon to 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays.
