Auction items needed
The Port Susan Middle School Builders Club in Stanwood, a branch of the Kiwanis Club, is looking for donated items and services to auction off in a fundraiser for low-income families. The money is to be used for grocery cards and bus passes for students in the Stanwood-Camano School District who are homeless. The auction is scheduled for Oct. 22. The club needs more items before then.
Examples include gift cards, goody baskets, art or vouchers for services like catering or lawn care. Business owners who contribute also can attend the auction with a sign or flyers to promote their business. To learn more, email Meghan Lawrence at mlawrence@stanwood.wednet.edu.
