Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch missed practice again Friday, casting further doubt upon whether he’ll be able to play in Monday night’s game against the Detroit Lions.
Lynch suffered a hamstring injury during Seattle’s 26-0 victory over Chicago last Sunday, an injury that required an MRI, and Lynch has not practiced this week. However, it’s hard to get a read on Lynch’s status based on practice reports because he often sits out practices or participates in a limited fashion. Seattle coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday a decision on Lynch could go all the way to game time.
Starting defensive tackle Brandon Mebane (groin) also missed practice, keeping his status in doubt for Monday as well.
Others who sat out Friday included defensive end Demarcus Dobbs (shoulder), cornerback Tharold Simon (toe), safety Steven Terrell (hip) and linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis (knee), all of whom are back-ups.
