Prep volleyball: Shorewood 3, Shorecrest 0

SHORELINE — Shorewood remains undefeated and in first place in the Wesco 3A/2A standings following the Thunderbirds’ three-set sweep of Shorecrest in a match on Wednesday night.

Delaney Hopen led Shorewood with 15 kills, three aces, and nine digs and Joely Shepard had 12 kills and 12 digs.

Taryn Shelley got four kills, four digs, and 37 assists and Maria Bartell checked in with 21 digs for the Thunderbirds.

Shorecrest’s leading player was Bailey Rutter, with 14 kills, 17 digs, and two blocks while Julia Clack also had a big night with 27 assists, 14 digs, four aces, and one block for the Scots.
