After being rejected by the electorate, twice in the past several years, Republican John Koster was appointed to the position of ombudsman by Snohomish County Executive John Lovick, a Democrat. This plum appointment, a sort of political “thanks for your past service” required, due to the very nature of the job, an appearance of fairness and non-partisanship. In fairly short order, Mr. Koster embarrassed the office he was appointed to run, as well as the executive who appointed him, by failing to keep his feelings about labor unions and the hooligans that lead such riff-raff, to himself.
John Koster’s audacious claim against the county is, yet further assurance to we, the voters, that we made the right decision at the polls.
