Here’s the official injury report for Sunday’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and Cincinnati Bengals:
SEATTLE
Out: RB Marshawn Lynch (hamstring), CB Tharold Simon (toe), CB Marcus Burley (hand).
Doubtful: DE Demarcus Dobbs (shoulder), CB Tye Smith (hip), LB Kevin Pierre-Louis (hamstring).
Questionable: RB Fred Jackson (ankle).
Probable: DT Brandon Mebane (groin), WR Ricardo Lockette (shortness of breath), S Steven Terrell (hip).
Notable: The big news is that Lynch, who the Seahawks hoped would be back after sitting out last week, has been ruled out again. Seattle coach Pete Carroll said Lynch is progressing well, but he didn’t want to risk him this week. Lynch will not make the trip with the team to Cincinnati.
Jackson being questionable likely means a busy day for Thomas Rawls as he’s the only other running back on the roster. If Jackson doesn’t play it would also mean additional duties for fullback Derrick Coleman. However, Carroll sounded optimistic regarding Jackson.
Seattle has similar depth issues at cornerback with Simon and Burley out and Smith doubtful. The versatile Deshawn Shead will be called upon at corner and Terrell, coming back from his own injury, may also be asked to pick up some time at corner.
It looks like Dobbs and Pierre-Louis, who were being monitored through the week, won’t make it back. However, Seattle apparently will get starting defensive tackle Mebane back.
CINCINNATI
Questionable: DE Wallace Gilberry (calf), S George Iloka (ankle).
Probable: S Reggie Nelson (hamstring), RB Jeremy Hill (knee), CB Adam Jones (groin).
Notable: The Bengals, in contrast, are mostly healthy. The only Bengals starter on the injury report is strong safety Iloka, who was inactive last week against Kansas City. Otherwise Cincinnati is in good shape.
