Jackson volleyball hosts fundraiser
Henry M. Jackson High School’s volleyball teams on Oct. 20 are hosting “Jump for Jake,” a fundraiser to help defray the costs of Jake Eastwood’s cancer treatment.
Jake, 12, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer, in December. He is the brother of Jackson’s junior varsity volleyball player Taylor Eastwood, and when the team found out about Jake’s diagnosis, they wanted to help. Junior Varsity and freshmen matches start at 5:15 p.m. followed by varsity matches at 7 p.m.. The event is to be held in the gym at Henry M. Jackson High School, 1508 136th St SE, Mill Creek. Attendees are asked to wear yellow in support of Jake. Entrance fees will be collected at the door: Adults $6, children and seniors $3, students with ASB cards are free.
