I would like to comment on a very positive and helpful experience I had at the Lake Stevens Sno-Isle Library a few weeks ago. Because our son was out of town on a business trip, I was staying with his sons, one of whom is a sophomore at the high school. This grandson came home from school with a homework assignment which needed to be done on the computer — no problem except that the computer at home died just as he was starting!
We went to the Lake Stevens Library where Alisa was a wonderful help to us — getting the grandson signed up for a library card, getting in touch with his father for permission to use the library’s computer, then explaining the use of the library’s computers — and even reaching down between the chair’s cushion and armrest to retrieve the card when it fell down there.
Service like this is something we too often take for granted, and I want a lot of people to know how very grateful I (grandma) and my grandson were for Alisa’s help that afternoon. Our grandson’s assignment was finished, and were both very relieved that the Lake Stevens Library was able to rescue us in our time of need.
Thank you Alisa and the Lake Stevens Library!
