Want to think like an artist? Start journaling like one.
Austin Kleon’s recently released book, “The Steal Like An Artist Journal: A Notebook For Creative Kleptomaniacs,” is an interactive journal full of ideas, prompts, quotes and exercises to goose the creative muscle of even the laziest artist.
Some are challenges (Make a mixtape for someone who doesn’t know you) while others promote discovery (10 things I want to learn). The journal has a pocket in the back to “store small pieces of inspiration,” according to Kleon.
Kleon will be in Seattle on Oct. 13 at Town Hall to talk about the creative process and the benefits of keeping a daily notebook.
