The Seahawks have reportedly filled their two open roster spots after waiving receiver B.J. Daniels and running back Rod Smith on Tuesday:

Butler was already rumored to have been signed by Seattle. The journeyman former fifth-round pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2010 is joining his eighth NFL team. He’ll provide cornerback depth for the Seahawks, who put Tharold Simon (toe) on injured reserve and played without Marcus Burley (thumb) and the Smith (hip) last weekend against Cincinnati.
Moody had been on Seattle’s practice squad, having been picked up by the Seahawks after being released by the San Francisco 49ers. Moody was a sixth-round pick in 2013 by the 49ers. His signing casts questions on the status of linebacker Bobby Wagner, who suffered a pectoral strain against Cincinnati. Wagner only missed two plays, but the extent of the injury was unknown earlier in the week.
