Edmonds veterinarian opens All About Cats
Edmonds residents Richard Lester and his wife Kathy celebrated the opening of their feline-only veterinary practice on Oct. 8. All About Cats is located in the Bridle Trails neighborhood of Kirkland. The hospital will offer a full range of services for cats only. A second generation veterinarian, Lester previously practiced at feline-only veterinary hospitals in Edmonds and Shoreline.
Brew &Bluegrass event in Bothell raises $13,000 for Clothes For Kids
This year’s Brew &Bluegrass event on Sept. 26 at the Northshore Senior Center in Bothell, raised more than $13,000 to benefit Clothes For Kids. The nonprofit thanked sponsors HomeStreet Bank, Charlie’s Produce, Gerber Collision, Umpqua Bank and My Neighborhood News as well as the musicians, breweries and winery for their support. Clothes For Kids serves low-income families in Snohomish County.
Seminar to help entrepreneurs, inventors planned in Arlington

Contract awarded for food service at Xfinity Arena
The Everett Public Facilities District is awarding the food services and hospitality contract for Xfinity Arena to Spectra by Comcast Spectacor. Spectra has been the provider of Venue Management and Ticketing and Fan Engagement since the venue opened in 2003. Comcast Spectacor is part of Comcast, who are also naming rights partner for the Xfinity Arena and Xfinity Community Ice Rink.
Marysville Tulalip chamber to hold ‘Christmas Party’ fundraiser
The Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce has announced its first Christmas Party Fundraiser. The semi-formal event is scheduled for 5 to 9 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Tulalip Resort Casino.
