Seahawks fullback Derrick Coleman is being released from jail pending further investigation, the King County Prosecutor’s Office announced Friday. Here’s the full statement:
“Seattle Seahawk Derrick Coleman is being released from jail pending ongoing investigation. The investigation is expected to take at least a month, including waiting for full toxicology results. A decision regarding charges will be made when the investigation is complete at a later date. Today’s first court appearance has been stricken from this afternoon’s calendar at the jail.”
Coleman was arrested Wednesday evening following a two-car accident in Bellevue and held under suspicion of vehicular assault and hit and run. Coleman has been suspended indefinitely by the Seahawks.
