Still not as big an embarrassment as “Gigli”: The popular genealogy series, “Finding Your Roots,” is back after PBS briefly pulled the series when actor Ben Affleck convinced producers to remove a segment that discussed an Affleck ancestor who was a slaveholder. The show has hired a new fact-checker as one of the reforms.
It was that or rename the series, “Whitewashing Your Roots.”
