Monroe’s Canyon Creek Cabinet adds new supervisor

Monroe-based Canyon Creek Cabinet Company has added Scott Pierce as a white woods supervisor to its pre-finish team. Pierce brings a diverse background of manufacturing experience including more than 15 years of supervisory experience in a lean manufacturing environment. He also spent more than 10 years in the U.S. Air Force as a survival equipment specialist.

Stantec adds several staff members

Stantec’s Lynnwood office (formerly Sparling) has added 10 new staff members in recent months to assist its Buildings group. They are Amar Safadi, Scott Hager, Charles Siderius, Umid Mamadaminov, Sean Leistritz, Adam Opsata, Mary Hofbeck, Rebecca Yam, Anna Cunningham, and Alexia Rohrer. The company has been recruiting to accommodate its growth in the Puget Sound region.

Snohomish County PUD awards $40,000 grant to HopeWorks

Local non-profit HopeWorks Social Enterprises, a Housing Hope affiliate, was awarded a $40,000 grant through Snohomish County PUD’s Planet Power to install a 9.9 Kilowatt solar array at HopeWorks Station, located at 3331 Broadway Ave., Everett. The 36 solar panels will be installed on the roof in mid-October. It will serve as a location to demonstrate how solar power is harnessed.

Dick’s Sporting Goods opening this week in Marysville

Dick’s Sporting Goods is opening its seventh store in Washington and 640th store nationwide on Friday at the Marketplace in Marysville, 2609 172 St. NE. Seattle wide receiver Jermaine Kearse will make an in-store appearance from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Visit dicks.com/marysville for details.

RSVP for United Way 75th anniversary party

United Way of Snohomish County is celebrating its 75th anniversary party from 2 to 5 p.m. on Nov. 8 at Snohomish Events Center, 1011 2nd Street, Snohomish. RSVP by Oct. 23 to events@uwsc.org or call 425-374-5570. There is no cost to attend but a $75 donation to the United Way of Snohomish County Endowment is encouraged.
